FAQ

Do you offer any other shoots?
I offer a wide range of photography services and I am always open to ideas and challenges. If you can't see the shoot you require from the menu, please message me what you need and I can discuss whether I am able to do it.

Do you offer print copies of the photos?
I don't offer individual prints or wall art. However I can create a stunning, bespoke album for any of the shoots for an additional cost.

How long does it take to get the photos and how many do I receive?
The time it takes to receive your photos depends on the type of photography services you have booked. Generally, you can expect to receive your photos within 7-10 days. I don't have an exact amount of photos as each shoot is so different depending on the family and children. All of the shoots (with the exception of doggy pawtraits and mini sessions), will have a minimum of 10 digital photos.

What happens before the shoot?

I will email you all the details you need and will always message you the day before the shoot to remind you of your booking. If you have booked a newborn shoot, I will also send you a prep guide to get the best from your session.

Where is the shoot?

I work from a newly refurbished studio in the comfort of my own back garden in Iwade, Kent. It is a calm, relaxed environment which puts all of my clients at ease as soon as they walk through the door. If booking a newborn shoot, it is the perfect space for you to sit back and relax, whilst watching me gently soothe and pose your baby.

What should I wear?

This is dependent on the shoot but I always advise to avoid bright colours and any character clothing. Neutral tones compliment my white backdrop best - wearing white creates a timeless photo every time. If you are booking a family shoot, try and co-ordinate as much as possible. For my maternity shoots, I do have dresses here that you can wear but I always ask you to bring a white shirt along - ideally your partners.

How long will the shoot last?

I allow up to an hour for all my shoots but often my sitter, toddler and family shoots are done in 30-40 minutes. Young children often have limited concentration so I am used to working fast. However I don't clock watch and will shoot until I am happy I have all the photos I need. I never want any of my clients to feel rushed and the pace can be adapted if little ones take longer to warm up. For a newborn shoot, you need to allow up to 3 hours although they usually only take 2 hours - it depends how sleepy and settled little one is.

What if my children misbehave?

I have been a primary school teacher for over 10 years - working with children is all I have ever known and I have learnt many tricks along the way. When the parents relax, the children tend to relax more too. Please don't ever feel like you can't have a shoot because you are worried about how your child will behave or react - I am calm, understanding and patient in my studio and I have a wealth of experience working with different backgrounds and needs of children.

What happens after the shoot?

Once you leave, my work continues. I go through all the photos and edit and retouch them. My edits are natural and this is what was highlighted by the judges when I achieved my international gold award. I will get rid of little blemishes, bruises (there are always leg bruises for my toddler shoots... especially the boys) You will then receive a link to your gallery 7-10 days later, where you can download your photos and you are free to print them as you wish.
